Red
Cross society (Bhiwani Branch) was established
in 1972 with the establishment of Bhiwani district.
In the beginning it did not have its own building,
but now it has its own building valued more than
ten million, in which many computer training centers,
Offices and parks are built in the memory of Kargil
martyrs. In the institute more than 30 workers
and officers are on the job. Red Cross has two
ambulances to serve the patients, and a schedule
of hundred regular blood donors. At present its
activity field has been enlarged. At present special
efforts are being done by Red Cross to stop female
foeticide. In order to provide self employment
for women, Sewing training centers are being led
on the village basis and First aid training is
also being given to young people on the village
basis. On the village basis three wheeler cycles,
wheelchairs, crutches and ear sensors are distributed
to handicap people.
Red Cross Society District Bhiwani is giving financial
help to economically weak, helpless people and
poor patients for medicines etc. Apart from this
in all government hospitals, facility of X-ray
and many types of tests is provided in low cost.
In order to take patients two ambulances are serving
in government hospitals of Charkhi Dadri and Bhiwani
without taking any credit. Free blood is also
being provided to helpless people. Especially
to orphans books and financial help is given for
their study.
Computer training
in order to lead self employment
In the campus of Red Cross computer software and
hardware training is started by District Red Cross
Society to make villagers independent which is
cheaper than market. At present 350 young people
are taking this training. Computer centers are
started by Red Cross on village base. These all
centers are being led by unemployed people with
the help of Red Cross.
On the village scale three wheeler cycles, wheelchairs,
crutches and ear sensors are distributed to all
handicap people by the District Red Cross Society
Bhiwani. Previous year helping equipments of worth
rupees 31 lakh were distributed with the help
of Elmico Company Kanpur, and time to time sewing-machines
were also distributed to handicap people to provide
them self employment, and the institute is attempting
to provide loan for them. Tape recorders are also
distributed for blind students of college of Bhiwani
district. For handicap people health camps and
handicap camps are also being organized on village
level by the organization.
District Red Cross Society Bhiwani is leading
many special programs in the field of blood donation.
In these programs blood donation camps are being
organized on the department scale in the memory
of Kargil martyrs of the district. Nobody compel
to meet to death due to deficiency of blood for
this a schedule of 100 regular blood donors is
being prepared who can be called on the spot at
any time. In Bhiwani district Pyare lal sangwan
63 times, Ramesh kumar 39 times, Bani singh 28
times, Rajnesh 27 times, Ravindra 25 times, Praveen
kumar 18 times Shamsher 18 times, Maharaj turant
nath 53 times, have given their blood who are
regular blood donors too. Similarly a schedule
of about hundred blood donors is being prepared
who donates their blood in the necessity.
District Red Cross Society Bhiwani has made many
efforts in order to stop female foeticide. In
more than 100 villages of district rallies are
processed to make people conscious about female
foeticide. With this more than 100 people are
made to take an oath to not to destroy a foetus.
“Village assemblies”, “priests
of temples”, “anganbadi workers”
and “social workers” also joined this
program. Red Cross has decided to reward with
25000 /- cash and honour to those people who give
knowledge about female foeticide. In the save
daughter program, at the wedding time bride and
groom are taking 8th oath with seven oaths to
not to destroy foetus. They are taking this oath
with pour salt in metal pot. A brigade of 250
young people of district is organized who are
spreading this program to every person. Propaganda
of this is also being done with the help of Folk
Songs, Dramas and Many Contests.
